How to Delete Your Shopee Account in the Philippines
Shopee PH account deletion is app-only and permanent. Here is the exact step-by-step process, what to clear first, and why your request might get rejected.
Shopee Philippines does not have a website-based delete button.
Account deletion happens through the Shopee app only – per Shopee Philippines’ official support documentation. The process is straightforward, but your request will be rejected if you skip the prerequisites. Here is the complete step-by-step process: what to clear first, how to submit the deletion request, what to do if Shopee rejects it, and what to consider before you delete permanently.
What to Know About Shopee Account Deletion in the Philippines
Shopee Philippines uses a self-service deletion flow inside the app. Unlike Lazada Philippines, which requires you to contact Customer Support to request deletion, Shopee gives you a built-in option directly in your account settings. That makes the process faster – but it also means Shopee’s automated checks run immediately, and any account condition that violates their deletion policy will block your request on the spot.
The deletion is permanent and irreversible. Per Shopee PH’s support documentation, once your account is deleted, there is no recovery path. Everything associated with your account disappears: order history, product reviews you wrote, Shopee Coins and vouchers, ShopeePay transaction records, and all seller data if you operated a Shopee store. Shopee may also restrict future account creation using the same phone number or personal identification.
This is not a step to rush. If you are a seller who just needs a break from orders, Vacation Mode is a far better option (more on that below). If you are certain you want to permanently close your account, the steps below will walk you through it.

What to Clear Before Requesting Deletion
Shopee Philippines will reject your account deletion request if any of the following conditions apply. Check each one before you open the app.
Pending orders, returns, or refunds. Any order still in “To Ship,” “Shipping,” or return/refund status blocks deletion. This includes orders where the refund has been initiated but not yet credited. Wait until all orders are fully completed and all refunds have cleared before submitting your deletion request.
ShopeePay balance. Any remaining ShopeePay balance must be withdrawn to your bank account or GCash before your deletion request will be approved. Per Shopee support documentation, accounts with active ShopeePay funds will be rejected. Go to ShopeePay in the app, select Transfer to Bank Account or Cash Out, and complete the withdrawal. Allow time for the transfer to process before proceeding.
SPayLater or SLoan obligations. If you have an outstanding SPayLater balance or an active SLoan, pay these off in full before requesting deletion. Outstanding credit obligations will block your request.
Account restrictions or active investigations. Accounts under suspension, limitation, or an ongoing Shopee investigation cannot be deleted until the restriction is lifted or the case is resolved. Contact Shopee Philippines Customer Support through the app’s Help Center to understand the nature of any restriction before attempting deletion.
Affiliate account commissions. If you are enrolled in the Shopee Affiliate Program, pending commissions and affiliate features may be affected by deletion. Per Shopee’s affiliate policy, certain pending earnings and affiliate dashboard access will be disabled after account closure. Review your affiliate account balance and understand the implications before proceeding.
Active seller listings. If you operate a Shopee Philippines seller account, removing all active product listings from your shop before requesting deletion is advisable. While Shopee’s system handles seller accounts in the deletion flow, clearing your listings first prevents any ambiguity around active inventory.
How to Delete Your Shopee Account: Step-by-Step
Shopee Philippines processes all deletion requests through the Shopee mobile app. There is no website or Seller Center option for account deletion.
Step 1: Open the Shopee app and go to your profile
Open the Shopee app on your phone. Make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete. Tap the Me tab at the bottom right of the screen. This opens your account dashboard, where you can see your order history, Shopee Coins, and account settings.
Step 2: Open Settings
Look for the Settings icon (⚙) in the top-right corner of the Me tab. Tap it to open your account settings menu. Depending on your app version, the icon may appear as a gear symbol or a similar settings indicator.

Step 3: Select Request Account Deletion
Scroll down through the Settings menu until you find Request Account Deletion or “Request to delete account.” The label may vary slightly depending on your app version and region settings. Tap the option. A confirmation dialog will appear – tap OK to proceed to the next screen.
Step 4: Read the deletion terms and tap Proceed
Shopee will display a detailed summary of what happens when your account is permanently deleted. This screen covers the irreversible nature of the action, the loss of all account data (order history, ShopeePay records, Shopee Coins, reviews, and vouchers), and the potential impact on linked services. Read this carefully. Once you have reviewed and understood the terms, tap Proceed.
Step 5: Enter the SMS verification code
Shopee will send a one-time password (OTP) via SMS to the phone number linked to your account. Enter the 6-digit code in the verification field provided, then tap Next. If you do not receive the SMS within a few minutes, tap the option to resend the code. Make sure your phone has signal and your linked number is active.

Step 6: Select your reason and enter your email address
Shopee requires you to select a reason for closing your account from a dropdown list of options. Choose the reason that best matches your situation. Below the reason selector, enter the email address associated with your Shopee Philippines account. Then check the Terms and Conditions checkbox to confirm you understand that deletion is permanent.
Step 7: Submit your deletion request
Tap Submit to send your deletion request to Shopee Philippines for processing. Shopee will review the request against their deletion criteria. If your account clears all the prerequisites, Shopee will approve and process the deletion. If any conditions are unmet, Shopee will reject the request with an explanation of which condition needs to be resolved. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen immediately after submitting – you will want this reference if any follow-up is needed.
Why Shopee Might Reject Your Deletion Request
Even after completing all seven steps above, Shopee Philippines can reject your deletion request if account conditions do not meet their criteria. Here are the four most common rejection reasons and how to resolve each.
Pending orders or refunds. If any order is still in transit, under return, or waiting for a refund to clear, Shopee will block the deletion automatically. Check your Orders tab and confirm every transaction shows “Completed” status. Then resubmit your deletion request.
ShopeePay funds remaining. Withdraw your ShopeePay balance to your bank account or GCash before resubmitting. In the Shopee app, go to ShopeePay, select Transfer to Bank Account or Cash Out, and allow the transfer to process fully. Once your ShopeePay balance shows zero, resubmit the deletion request.
Unpaid SPayLater or SLoan balance. Go to the SPayLater or SLoan section in your Shopee app and pay off all outstanding amounts. Shopee will not approve a deletion request on an account with active credit obligations.
Account under restriction or investigation. If Shopee has flagged your account for policy violations, suspicious activity, or misconduct, your deletion request will be rejected until the issue is resolved. Contact Shopee Philippines Customer Support through the app’s Help Center, reference your case, and follow their resolution instructions before attempting to delete again.
Consider This Before You Delete: Vacation Mode
Permanent deletion is the right choice for people who want to fully exit Shopee Philippines. But if your goal is to temporarily stop selling – to take a break, deal with stock issues, or focus on another platform – there is a much better option: Vacation Mode.
Vacation Mode pauses your Shopee Philippines store from receiving new orders without deleting anything. Your shop page stays live, your listings stay active (just marked as unavailable), your order history remains intact, your Shopee Coins are preserved, and your seller metrics are not affected. When you are ready to return, you simply turn off Vacation Mode and your store reopens.
To enable Vacation Mode in Shopee Philippines: Go to Seller Center > Shop Settings > Vacation Mode, and toggle it on. Set the dates you need, and buyers will see a notice that your shop is temporarily unavailable.
If you are a buyer rather than a seller and just need a break, you can also simply stop using the account. Shopee Philippines does not charge any fees for inactive accounts.
